Hi, I'm Badr Eddine 👋

I was born and raised in Boujad, a small town in the heart of Morocco where rugs are part of everyday life. In my family, weaving isn't just a job. It's something we inherited, passed from father to son for generations. 🧶

As a child, my days were full of the sound of looms, the smell of fresh wool and the colours of hand-dyed yarn drying in the sun. ☀️ I watched the artisans around me turn simple threads into pieces that tell a story. I didn't know it then, but that's where Marrakesh Shop was born.

Why I started Marrakesh Shop 💡

Growing up, one thing always bothered me. The rugs woven in our town passed through many hands before reaching a home abroad. Every middleman took a share, and the weavers who spent weeks on one piece received the smallest part. So I decided to do things differently:

No middlemen. You buy directly from us, in Boujad.
Fair pay. The artisans are paid fairly for their time and talent.
Total honesty. Real photos, real sizes, real handmade rugs.

The hands behind every rug 🤲

I work with women and men weavers from Boujad and the Atlas Mountains. Some are members of our cooperative, Cooperative TORATH BOUJAD ("Boujad Heritage"), some work with us in our workshop, and others are independent artisans I buy from directly at prices we agree on together. I know them, and I'm proud of every rug they make. ❤️

What you'll find here 🏡

About half of our rugs come from Boujad, with bold colours and free, expressive patterns. 🎨 The other half come from the Atlas Mountains: soft Beni Ourain rugs in natural cream wool, and vibrant Azilal rugs. ⛰️ Every rug is made by hand from natural wool (hand-knotted, or flat-woven for Kilims), and no two are the same.

From my workshop to your home, anywhere in the world 🌍

I make sure every rug is checked, cleaned, rolled and packed with care before it leaves Boujad. Whether you live in Paris, New York, Toronto, Dubai or Sydney, shipping is free and customs duties are already included, so there are no surprises when your rug arrives. 📦
